So I know I’m about 11 days late, but welcome to October! This is by far my favorite month of the year so I’m very excited! I’m from Missouri where fall weather actually existed, but currently we’re enjoying some nice weather here in Florida so I can’t complain. What’s even better is that we also have some great events to enjoy this nice weather! Since I’ve been slacking for quite a bit I’m going to go over the rest of the week instead of just the weekend. There are definitely some solid finds coming up!
Tonight, like every week, they’re having Tasty Tuesday from 6:30-10pm in the Milk District in the back lots of 2424-2432 E. Robinson Street between Bumby & Primrose. This is no ordinary Tasty Tuesday, however. Instead, it’s a Milk District Main Street Party to celebrate being announced Orlando’s official 10th Main Street district! This event is always pet friendly (last week someone brought their pet pig. It was adorable) as well as for all ages. What you’ll expect to find at this party is:
“- Food Trucks:
Bem Bom Food, Caro-Bama BBQ, Dixieland Diner Mobile Food Truck,KBBQ Box – Korean BBQ Taco Box, La Empanada Food Truck, Louie’s Bistro, OverRice FoodTruck, Peak Season Pops, Philly’s Best Cheesesteaks, Sushi & Seoul On The Roll, SwedeDISH Food Truck,Tamale Co. Food Truck, & Treehouse Truck

– A Benefit Raffle with prizes from our local restaurants, vendors and more!

Tasty Tuesday is always a favorite of mine to check out and hangout with friends. Now that
it has even more I’m very excited to see the turn out! In addition, If you’re in the Disney
area tonight and would prefer to stay there, they are having a night of Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party from 7-12am as well! The price is between $90-95.
Tomorrow, Oct 12, starting from 5-9pm Unwine’d Wednesday is taking place at Kasa Restaurant & Bar. It’s honestly pretty hard to miss. Go to the Chase Plaza and join the big crowd standing outside! Here you can get all you can drink wine, beer, and grub along with live entertainment and friendly company. $15 for women and $20 for men. TEXT KASA to 25827 and show it at the door to receive $3 off! Instead of wine-ding down, are you downtown but looking for something more sporty? No worries! Orlando Magic is playing the San Antonio Spurs starting at 7pm at the Amway Center. This is their first home game during preseason and hopefully we can pull out a W to end the start of a rough season! If you’re in the Winter Park area and want to enjoy a nice glass of wine, head on over to the Winter Park Wine & Dine event taking place from 6-9pm starting at the Winter Park Farmer’s Market. General admission is $45 and a VIP ticket is $100. At this event 30+ merchants will be offering complimentary food samples, hors d’oeuvres, craft beer, and wine! Finally, Universal’s Halloween Horror Nights is going from 6:30-1am and is sure to be a scare! I haven’t made it over there yet, but it is one of my favorite Orlando events during October so I’m eager to see how the houses/scare zones are this year!
Moving on to Thursday, Ludacris, along with Bebe Rexha & Ty Dolla $ign, will be at the CFE Arena for an 8pm show and tickets are only $25 for general admission! In addition to the concert, Artegon Marketplace is hosting a Beer & Wine Stroll from 6-9pm. Head on over to Guest Services, grab a wristband & passport, and enjoy what they have to offer for FREE! There will be 8 craft beer selections as well as 8 wine selections. If you haven’t been to Artegon definitely check it out. It is so unique and has a large variety of stores! If you’re in the downtown area but looking for something similar there is one of my favorite events that goes on the second Thursday of every month, Thornton Park Wine & Art Walk. It is $15 CASH ONLY and you get to explore Thornton Park and the 25 businesses that offer some sort of alcoholic beverage (all included). It’s a great excuse to go outside and do something different with some buds! Halloween Horror Nights will also be taking place from 6:30-2am as well as Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party will be from 7-12am.
TGIF! Friday’s are always a favorite of mine. You have a fresh start to go explore and there’s nothing stopping you! Friday afternoon, from 11-1pm, the Dr. Phillips Center hosts a Food Truck Friday. The trucks participating are:
There is another Food Truck Friday going on later, hosted by Artegon Marketplace, from 5-9pm. Don’t forget to bring your receipt to Guest Services of $25 or more from any Artegon store for $5 in Food Truck Bucks! Purchase must be made on October 14 to be valid! Heading downtown, Orlando Magic are playing a second time this week, but this time against the Indiana Pacers starting at 7pm at the Amway Center. In addition to the game, SAK Comedy Club has several performances going on tonight. There is Duel of Fools at 7:30pm, Gorilla Theater at 9:30pm, and Rookie Rumble at 11:30pm, so there are many options for you to choose from! Finally, Halloween Horror Nights from 6:30-2am and Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party from 7-12am!
Hip Hip Hurray, it’s Saturday and I’m ready to get into all kinds of shenanigans! During the day it’s fairly calm, so enjoy some wonderful Florida parks, relax, have a pool day; many things you can do! Especially since the weather never really gets that bad here 😉 Going from 5-11pm, the Creative City Project is officially here and it takes place in the streets of downtown Orlando. This is a free event, but if you’d like to pay to get extra goodies they have that option as well! There is something constantly going on everywhere you look from the beginning to the end and it’s so much fun to see where creative minds can go! They also have an app that will help you navigate the Creative City Project. You’re able to search By Time, By Location, and By Type, and I must say, after using it last year it really helped. Along with this event, SAK Comedy Club has two performances tonight, Duel of Fools at 7:30pm and King of the Hill at 9:30pm. Finally, Halloween Horror Nights from 6:30-2am.
Sunday is the busiest weekend day of all! Naked Bar Soap Co. is having another Soap & Candle Workshop from 1-3pm and it looks incredible! This event is $50 and you get to learn to make your own candle & soap! You will leave with a “customized 1/2 lb loaf of beautifully custom blended soap, a fragrant one of a kind lotion candle, and a special swag bag featuring products from Naked Bar Soap Co. and Aline & Me Candle Company.” In addition,of course the wonderful Orlando Farmers Market from 10-4pm around Lake Eola, along with the yoga class starting at 11am for $5 is always a great time (they’re requesting you wear yellow). Staying around downtown after the farmers market? Hangout at one of the awesome bars/restaurants then head on over to the Orlando Magic game at 6pm against the Atlanta Hawks. After the game make your way over to Wall Street where they host Bingo After Dark from 10pm-2am. The prizes are pretty hilarious/dirty! Ending the weekend strong with the wonderful theme park Halloween events, Halloween Horror Nights from 6:30-2am and Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party from 7-12am!
Don’t forget the events that go on every single day! Epcot International Food & Wine Festival started on Sept 14 and goes until Nov 14th. In addition, SeaWorld Orlando’s Halloween Spooktacular began on Oct 1st and continues until Oct 31st (from 12pm-close).
Do you wonder why I love Orlando? There’s always so much and a huge variety of choices! From free to pricey, Orlando can certainly deliver. I hope you enjoy the rest of your week and bring happiness into your weekend!
Until next time; keep wandering!
